Knowing where you are in the application process is important. There are two ways to check your application status depending on the role you applied to within the Company. Please review the information options below and follow the process that matches the corresponding role.

Hourly In-Store & Distribution Center Roles

Hourly In-Store & Distribution Center Roles include the following: Cashier, Customer Service/Sales Associate, Support Associate, Freight Associate, General Warehouse Associate, and more. To check the application status of an In-Store or Distribution Center role, please click the link below.

Salaried, Corporate, & Support Roles

Corporate & Support Roles including but not limited to the following positions: Asset Protection, Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager, Customer Service Representative, DC Area Supervisor or Manager position, Delivery Driver, Outside Sales & Service or PRO team position, or Store Support Center roles such as Administrative Assistant, Store & Supply Chain Operations, Marketing and Communications roles, Technology roles, and more. To check the application status of your application to one of these roles, please follow the steps below.

  1. Click the link below to log into your Workday profile
  2. Navigate to “Menu” in the upper left-hand corner
  3. Select “Jobs Hub”
  4. Select Overview or My Applications to view the status of your application(s)

You do not need to be present in the store to apply for a job or take the assessment. We want you to do your best, so we recommend you take the assessment where you are free of distractions and can focus on the questions to answer them to the best of your ability.

Additional Assessment Details:

  • There are 53 questions on the assessment.
  • The assessment must be completed within 96 hours after starting it. You may stop and restart the assessment as many times as you like within the 96-hour time frame.
  • You will be asked to indicate your level of agreement with various statements.
  • Assessment questions focus on:
    • Professional Experience: Your work or school experience.
    • Customer Focus: How you would interact with customers and others in a retail environment
      • Note: Responses to these questions allow you to be considered for multiple In-Store and Distribution Center hourly roles, including Store and MET, without needing to retake the assessment for each job application.
    • Responsibility: The extent to which you are dependable and complete job tasks reliably and in a timely manner.
    • Learning Potential: Your willingness and ability to learn new things in our ever-changing environment.

Please note that for questions stated as ‘When we ask your most recent manager…’ you may instead think of how a similar person who assigns you work, such as a project lead or teacher/instructor, might respond to the question.

  • The assessment is entirely text-based and does not require sound or video players to complete the questions.
  • The assessment platform is mobile-enabled and compatible with a variety of assistive software technologies.
    • The screen reader software we most regularly test with are JAWS and NVDA, but we expect that most screen readers will work on the tests.
    • The platform also has multiple contrast options that you can choose from which may help with visual processing.

If you need help to complete the assessment or any other part of the application:

  • You may partner with a Job Coach, vocational rehabilitation coach, and/or a support person (such as a parent) to assist in completing the application and the assessment.
  • You may also request The Home Depot’s assistance by emailing myTHDHR@homedepot.com and sharing what kind of assistance you need to complete the application and the assessment.
  • If you believe that a disability could negatively affect your performance on The Home Depot’s assessment, you may also request an alternative to the assessment by emailing myTHDHR@homedepot.com . Please explain your disability-related situation so that The Home Depot can explore potential alternatives that would accurately evaluate your ability to do the job, with or without an accommodation.
