How do I log into my Equitable account online? ›

Where do I sign in to access my online account? The upper right-hand corner of each page of the equitable.com website has a sign in link, or you can sign in here: equitable.com/login. You may register for an online account at equitable.com/registration if you do not have one yet.

Generally, you can't borrow more than $50,000 or one-half of your vested plan benefits, whichever is less. (An exception applies if your account value is less than $20,000; in this case, you may be able to borrow up to $10,000, even if this is your entire balance.)

Direct Deposit is an easy and convenient way to receive your withdrawal. Your bank or financial institution may take up to 2 or more business days to deposit the funds into your account.

If you have forgotten your password, you may reset it online. From the Sign in page, select "Forgot your User ID or Password" and follow the simple steps to restore your access to all your account. Note that your password is case-sensitive (ex. PASS56 is different from pass56).

An Access Account is a retained asset account. If you are the beneficiary of an Equitable policy then your retained asset account is known as the Equitable Access Account.

In-service withdrawals from a 403(b) plan

An in-service withdrawal is when you take money from your 403(b) while you still work for the employer that administers it. Most plans allow employees to take withdrawals from a plan once they reach age 59 ½.

You can choose to have your money paid to you in one lump sum, or in installments of a fixed amount or over a set number of years, if the plan permits. However, you'll have to pay income taxes on a cash distribution, and you may also have to pay a 10% penalty for early withdrawal.

Once you have enough equity built up, you can access it by taking out a HELOC, a home equity loan or by using a cash-out refinance. Taking out a loan on your home equity can provide funds for costs such as medical bills, college tuition, home improvements or other reasons.

A home equity loan generally allows you to borrow around 80% to 85% of your home's value, minus what you owe on your mortgage. Some lenders allow you to borrow significantly more — even as much as 100% in some instances.

However, there are circ*mstances when you can withdraw from your 401(k) if you have an unpaid loan. For example, if you leave your job or are fired, you could rollover your 401(k) to an IRA or the new employer's 401(k) even if you have an outstanding 401(k) loan.

Can I withdraw my 401k? ›

Generally, anyone can make an early withdrawal from 401(k) plans at any time and for any reason. However, these distributions typically count as taxable income. If you're under the age of 59½, you typically have to pay a 10% penalty on the amount withdrawn.

Please expect about 7-10 business days to receive checks through USPS mail. If you elected to receive the funds via direct deposit or ACH, please allow 2-3 business days for the funds to settle in your bank account.
